Color: Flint Run
Jasper is a mottled mustard yellow to brown, but gray, red, blue, and
green also occur as streaking or inclusions. Quartz
inclusions and streaks are present.
Texture: Fine grain
Luster: Dull to satin
Translucency: Opaque

Flint Run Jasper occurs on the western
flanks of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It can be found along the
northern side of the Shenandoah River Valley and the south fork of the
Shenandoah River.
